Dhina K. Makabi, Legal & Advocacy Officer

Dinah is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Moi University and a graduate diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Kenyatta University. She has extensive knowledge on refugee and child protection issues having previously worked with Christian Legal Education Aid and Research (CLEAR) International, World Vision East Africa Regional Office, Office of the Attorney General (Litigation Department) and Refugee Consortium of Kenya. She has field experience, having worked both in Dadaab and Kakuma Refugee Camps. Dinah also has programming and fundraising experience, with her most recent position being M&E and Fundraising. Dinah is interested in advocating for the rights of refugees and other forced migrants by influencing policy, capacity building, and providing legal aid.
