Esther Muringi Wanyaga, Lead Child Protection Officer

Esther has several years work experience with non-governmental organizations in development, humanitarian relief and training. She is skilled in program and projects management with full accountability for planning, structuring, leading and executing large programmers’ of high impact and complexity. 

She has specific experience in child rights based programming framework and protection of children and women rights.  She is passionate about creating major platforms for social and community development, effectively organizing, and coordinating major projects with the aim of motivating and empowering individuals and communities

She has worked in humanitarian relief programs with refugees from Rwanda and Burundi where she established and co-ordinated community social services and education program; trained women and youth to start and manage small income generating projects in the camps.

Esther has a bachelor degree in sociology and post graduate studies in project monitoring and evaluation from MSC development training centre Arusha, Tanzania. She has also attended various courses in project planning and management.

She is a board member, Community Organization Training Programme, Kenya(COT-K) and Local Advisory Network Member BTCK (Be the change-Kenya); currently known as TATUA Kenya. She joined Heshima Kenya as Case Worker has promoted to Head Child Protectio
