As a teenager, Carolyn had the incredible opportunity to travel to Kenya twice, each time working as a volunteer with young children and teenagers in various settings including orphanages and schools. It is these experiences in Kenya and at the UN that ignited and solidified her passion and commitment to working with those who are most vulnerable in today’s world. After graduation, Carolyn is planning on going to nursing school with the end goal of becoming a Nurse Midwife. Carolyn is incredibly thankful and excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Heshima Kenya community as the Communications and Events Intern.
